News of Northview Alums

Northview Alumni Named SEC Pitcher of the Week AGAIN!

Mizzou junior RHP Reggie McClain (Duluth, Ga.) was named SEC Pitcher of the Week on Monday(Feb. 23) following his complete game shutout of Sam Houston State last Friday. This is the second consecutive week that McClain has earned SEC Pitcher of the Week, making him the first SEC pitcher to accomplish that feat since LSU's Aaron Nola did so in 2013.

Congratulations to Reggie McClain, Northview Class of 2011, as he was named SEC Pitcher of the week!  What an amazing accomplishment! McClain earned the weekly conference honor after tossing 8.0 shutout innings in a 1-0 win over Iona, strking out 10 batters against zero walks.

Congratulations to Jason Delay (2013) and the Vanderbilt Commodores for winning the 2014 Baseball College World Series.

Congratulations to former Northview pitcher Matt Campbell who was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 9th round of the MLB draft.  Campbell was a 4 year reliever at Clemson.  He had an outstanding senior season for the Tigers going 4-0 with a 0.84 ERA and 8 saves.  He struck out 45 batters in 32 innings.  Good luck Matt!
